Known as Friarielli, this product is well adapted to both winter and summer growing seasons for spring and fall harvests, its bitter flavour is complemented by nutty notes, a great source of vitamins A, C, and K, as well as iron, folate, and manganese. From the Neapolitan tradition, the florets with the most tender leaves are seasoned with oil, garlic and chilli. First used only in Campania, Friarielli today have become a must. The “Sasicc e friariell” (sausage and Friarielli) pizza is known all over the world. The product can be used in various recipes, excellent for seasoning pasta and ideal as a side dish.
